A little light on where it all began...

Hi, I'm Kasey and I'm so glad you've found us at LampShadeHouse Whitsundays!

LampShadeHouse first came to life back in 2013, in my Melbourne home. At the time, I was a busy Mum of three little ones, searching for lamps that felt right for their rooms. I was looking for lighting that was beautiful, simple, and something that would reflect each of their (very different!) personalities. When I couldn't find what I wanted, I decided to make them myself.

What started as a creative project for my kids quickly became something more. From bedrooms to living spaces, and eventually to friends’ homes and online, I discovered a real love for lighting, and for the way a soft glow can completely transform a space.

After a few years travelling and working around Australia, our family finally settled in the Whitsundays, and it felt like the perfect place to relaunch LampShadeHouse with a fresh focus.

Inspired by the relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty of North Queensland, I now create custom lampshades that are designed to bring warmth, texture and balance to your home.

Every lamp shade is thoughtfully made by hand, right here in Airlie Beach, using beautiful fabrics that feel fresh, calm and timeless. Whether you’re after a soft and cosy bedside glow, a bold statement for your living area, or a custom pendant to complete a room, we can create something that fits you, and the way you live.

At LampShadeHouse Whitsundays, we believe lighting should do more than brighten a room. It should make your home feel calm, inviting, and beautifully yours.
