Welcome to LampShadeHouse Whitsundays! My name is Kasey, and I'm thrilled you've found us here!

LampShadeHouse was originally established in Melbourne back in 2013. At that time, I was at home with 3 little ones, and really struggled to find lamps and lighting for their rooms that suited their personalities. After much searching, I decided that creating the lamp shades myself would be my best way forward. I researched, practiced, and eventually mastered the art, and discovered a whole new love of lighting and decor! 

From the starting point in my kids bedrooms, the beautiful creations extended to the living room, then the kitchen for pendants and close-to-ceiling shades, and then on to the homes of family and friends; and eventually to our Etsy store and website!

After a long break to travel and work across Australia, the family and I landed in the most magical part of the country - the Whitsundays. Here, LampShadeHouse was relaunched with a fresh energy and a new focus inspired by the relaxed coastal vibe of North Queensland. 

Creating bespoke lamp shades from beautiful fabrics and wallpapers really lights me up. There truly is something so special about sourcing and turning a beautiful piece of fabric into a glorious statement piece for your home.

I work with both everyday homeowners and interior professionals to deliver one-of-a-kind lighting pieces that elevate your space.
